PB1000 Upgrade Information

Caution

Only authorized service personnel should upgrade the system. Anyone who wants to upgrade the system themselves should know about the dangers of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and the necessary precautions. Unknowingly zapping the components of the computer will void the warranty.

Memory
NOTE The six DRAM chips at U23, U32, U33, U34, U35 and U36 must be removed when upgrading from 640KB to 1MB or higher. The system will not function properly if BANK 1 is populated by both SIMM modules and DRAM chips.
